Dear Andrea,

The question I get asked most by potential affiliates is "What income earning opportunities are available to me now?" Daniel Cohn, an Executive Advocate, offers his experienced perspective on how the Intervox Group model helps independent consultants win with a collaborative approach to delivering more value to clients. An industry veteran with lots of experience as both a senior exec in a "Big Five"-type firm and an independent consultant, Daniel provides timely perspective on how our collaboration can create bankable synergies for everyone.

The piece following uses an actual project to illustrate the specifics of group process, role specialization and fee distribution at work in a typical Intervox Group project. And Don Mick's interview with Executive Advocate Bill Maikranz highlights yet another means for leveraging the Intervox Group network to earn income and grow your practice.

Finally, this month, we're pleased (no, thrilled) to welcome Faye van Boxtel to our team. Faye will be leading our resourcing and staffing, a highly critical function as we ramp for explosive growth. We expect to keep Faye very busy, and those of you who know her also know that she'll hold her end up with both competence and humor.

- John Reynolds, Founder and Managing Partner

  • Right Place, Right Time, Right Model

    By Daniel Cohn, Executive Advocate

I joined Intervox Group because I felt it offered the right model for these challenging business times. I found the model addressed many of the challenges I have found in my career. Here is my thinking. See if you agree...

Strangers Making Money Together: A True Story
The most common question asked by prospective affiliates is "How can my affiliation with Intervox Group earn money for me now?" Perhaps the best way to illustrate the ways in which we help you meet your immediate financial needs is to describe a typical deal. This example is a current opportunity, but it's very typical...
    New white paper available

InterVox Group Affiliates can now take advantage of a new white paper which presents a compelling case for employing Activity-Based Costing (ABC) via our unique CATScan engagement to dramatically improve contact center financial performance.

"Proving Your Contact Center's ROI with Activity-based Cost Analysis" provides an overview of the concepts of ABC and how this process can be applied to understand, measure and present contact center performance in business and financial terms. You can download the white paper from iCenter and use it to support sales and business development efforts. You'll find it in iCenter's Resource Center (under Marketing & Sales / Collateral / General).

Look also for our soon-to-be-released white paper on "The Contact Center as Driver of Enterprise Value -- What Every CEO Should Know". Both white papers will be available as lead-generation downloads via the InterVox Group web site.

For information on how you can leverage your original white papers and editorial content to build business through InterVox Group marketing programs contact Lon Hendrickson, Marketing Director at lon.hendrickson@intervoxgroup.com .

    Affiliate Interview: Bill Maikranz
Interviewed by Don Mick, Executive Advocate and Quality Assurance Lead

Intervox has senior resources that have extensive experience assisting clients in meeting difficult business objectives. These resources can help affiliates get more value from their existing clients through bringing greater value to them.

Take, for example, a situation where your client needs to invest in technology in order to meet a pressing objective for the contact center. Possibly technical architecture or vendor selection are not your specialty. Maybe you are a technical person, but the technology being considered is not in your sweet spot. Our Intervox senior technical resources may represent a solution. They bring the appropriate expertise, experience and credibility to the table when you need it. One such resource is Bill Maikranz. Bill has more than twenty years experience supporting contact centers...

Meet the Team: Faye van Boxtel
by Faye Van Boxtel, Director, Staffing and Resources

As the newest (but certainly not the oldest) member of the Intervox Group, I will be managing the Resource Staffing for all consulting engagements. (Recruiter or headhunter for those who prefer the vernacular.) As you may know, Intervox has a huge database of talent from all over the world, and we often-times get calls from clients looking for a specific skill set. It will be my responsibility to connect the talent with the client and keep the consulting projects moving...

    The Tool Exchange
    Time Zone Manager

At InterVox we have Affiliates spread out across many time zones and are often scheduling meetings, conference calls and events that involve participants from three or more of them. Do you have associates in other time zones? International clients? A need to coordinate meetings and travel schedules? This month the Tool Exchange offers a handy add-in to Microsoft Windows that makes managing multiple time zones easy. You can track local time in up to five cities and compare time changes across any time zones that you like. We hope you find it as useful as we do. It's from Microsoft, and its free (how often does that happen?). Here is the link: Time Zone Manager.

This month's free tool idea was contributed by Rick Wilminko, Director of Infrastructure here at InterVox.

If you have a favorite application or trick of the trade that you'd like to share with the Affiliate community, let us know at toolx@intervoxgroup.com . The only requirement is that submissions be in the public domain, and, naturally, we will let your fellow Affiliates know whom to thank.
